Harley's
95% of all Harley's are still on the road,
the other 5% made it home..

"Harley-Davidson: Over 100 years of successfully converting gasoline into noise, without the side-effects of horsepower."

I like HARLEYS. I still have one. They are just another bike. My Boss Hoss is also just another bike. I like all bikes. Each does something better than the other one. I never rode any that were no fun. I even like trikes which don't have much in common with bikes.

Re: Harley's
There is no telling what you will find in my garage. Currently the Boss sits next to a HD Road Glide and a Softail. It has also sat next to B-King, Busa and Ultra-Classic. Tonight I saw a commercial for Kawi's new line of Hyper-bikes so that may hit the slab soon too ... unless I can't get Curtis' red bike outta my mind, then it will be sitting next to another Hoss.
Long Story short, I make fun of all brands and love them at the same time too ...

Wow Petite, I've had all of those bikes too! My wife and friends say I have motorcycle A.D.D. I still have a busa and just sold my 2014 ZX14 this spring to go towards the 01 smallblock I just bought!

I sure wouldn't mind one as a backup for when the Hoss breaks.

Jack, here is a picture of my latest bike. I just got it running and everything on it works. It only had 1700 miles on it from new but it hadn't run for over 40 years.

Since the bike will be whisper quiet, I guess they can put baseball cards in the spokes, so it sounds like a Harley..

Re: Harley's
When Boss Hoss was in its early days and maybe up to 2005 or so, Harley’s were slow, made a lot of noise that didn’t translate into speed.
Today Harley’s are fast, powerful; not BH fast, but fast nonetheless. The new Milwaukee 8, 4 valves per cylinder is a major step forward; tank all of the EPA shit off plus a hot cam setup plus head porting and you’re at 140hp at 700 lbs with no torque converter to rob power.
Harley’s are nice now too, the Mount Rushmore improvement has really made a difference in how they ride and handle.
I had a 2014 Street Glide with a 120R racing engine that I toured Europe, was a dream ride and bike, bloody fast too.
I can buy 2 CVO Street Glides for the price of one BH.
Just saying.
I love my BH the most......by far.

Re: Harley's
I've built several quick Harley engines over the years but it's not cheap to get over 100 HP out of the older engines . The last one I built was 96 in Evo S&S stroker that put out right around 100 HP and cost me about $6000.00 and I did all the work ,of course I used the best of everything .
