If you had the chance to try it with the goofball pictured, you'd better be wearing a good set of googles or face shield and adequate body covering, as there are more exit ports than the average bear for the resultant expelling of air and spittle.

I get it that some people are attention seekers in different ways (we all have our V8 bikes), but to me this represents deeper psychological issues when this type of disfigurement is pursued.

On the other hand, it does offer significant alternative approaches for dental/oral examination and care.......and the simple act of eating and drinking must be a bitch.

Carl's got it in one - that creep may think he looks cool to his buddies (though they are probably shitless to agree that but they won't emulate him). And he has sent himself to the crapheap of life - nobody will give him a job - he won't be able to make good life choices as a poor guy. And he expects to get a "fair chance". No, he made his choice and it was a dumbass one and you know, one day he will work it out himself.
Also in the guy/girl department he won't get many girls who can stomach that so it's wierd boys for him, overall it's a pretty sad waste. One thing he's likely to have that's good is his organs, pity we can't give them to someone who'd appreciate them, there are plenty of decent people who deserve them more.
