We all know our govts...no mater what country...are out to get everything they can from us..

Bottom line is if they work here..pay Income tax here then they could also pay income ta in the US..double whammy...if they sold their Canadian house they may be forced to pay capital gains in the US where as in Canada there is no Capital gains on a home if you live in it for a year. Other impications are also there.
