His first mistake was casually resting his foot on the tire and I think his buddy was telling him to get it off ... about 5 seconds too late. From the absence of the ring I think he was trying to get the tube and tire to separate from the rim ... a stupid way to do it. He is fortunate he was not inflating it while the ring was on it and slipped off. He would be missing a leg.
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...

Argh ... that is going to leave a mark :anvil:

He might have been ok with the "backflip" but the entire wheel/tire assembly across his back at the end ... :dizzy: OUCH!

Ric,
Cool link.
Did you see the one with the Camero ?
That would suck if it happened on a Boss with a car tire !

When I worked in a tire/exhaust/shock joint we were trainednever to work on any truck tire without the cage. That was from a guy who had a claw for a right hand. Lost his hand to exactly the same lazy tire inflation - the ring took it right off as it blew upwards and then went right through the garage roof! Seeing his claw as he described it sent shivers thru me. And I never took risks with compressed air since.
