How fast have you been on your V8?

Post by V8Bikers »

I honestly don't know on mine. Never had GPS to record and the times I am WOT for that short time I was hyper focused on the road, You?

On my SB I rode twice 200km/h (122miles/h) for 10 to 15 min on the German Autobahn, at least that's what the speedo read. It ran really stable, no shaking or bouncing. :ridding:

I was once up to 230km/h (140miles/h) for 5 min but that was no fun...
That was more floating than really riding :yikes:

I forgott to say that it was NOT full throttle...

On long trips in Germany I usually go 150 to 160km/h (100miles/h) for several hours.

I tried 145 mph once..........
The windshield was bent down pointing
right at my chest.
Interesting....... :hmmmm:

There WAS plenty of throttle left....

150 MPH on my 130 MPH rated tires . It got there fast and was still climbing hard but the whole bike started to feel light and felt like it was floating . I shut down .

120+. I want to live a while longer, so I run at reasonable speeds. I was on the freeway last night and had to pass a clot of morons who were blocking 3 lanes while doing God knows what. I glanced at the speedo and was going a shade over 100 as I got out in front.

At around 135 my bike gets unstable despite the front fairing. Have throttle left for days but my desire to process oxygen refrains me from using it.

I must say that while the sound and ride are very fulfilling, I am a little disappointed at the "speed" side of these bikes. I miss my 185 mph fly by's I used to do on the Busa ... but I do not miss the ride stance LoL
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...

Got to 180 MPH on the Vanquish once or twice...on roads in Florida swamp area...worried about a gator on the road for sure. On my 2005 SB got to 160 MPH many times and once 155 MPH with a gal on the back on the desert roads with dips...caught air, spun up engine and trans because tranny fluid all over the place after that. She was looking over my shoulder at speedo and I think came. Gal wanted to go do it again...not me.
