Great pix. So, they were selling E10 in the late 20s/early 30s and civilization endured, somehow.
Casa de Petrol was in Sherman Oaks, CA, next door to Casa de Cadillac. The dealership is still there but the station is long gone.
I have been inside of Escondido Bowl. I still have family there
White and Bloomfield 76, just down the street where I grew up, was identical to the station shown with the big triangular canopy. Used to get 25 cents worth for my Cushmans, Whizzers and Mopeds whenever I could scrounge enough pop bottles and old batteries
I really don't give a crap about the price of gas, but I sure wish life was simpler like it was in the 50s and 60s, when we were free to hurt ourselves and burn leaded fuel
