Thank you for letting me join!

Post by Cookie »

:usa:

Good day.

Thank you so much for letting me join!

New the the V8 Bike world. Searching for my bike and looking for suggestions. Have a couple in mind that I found.

Currently have a 2009 Yamaha V Max, 2009 HD FLHTCUSE4 Ultra Classic and a 2004 Honda Rune. Just can't have enough HP!

Should I avoid any years? Etc...

Thanks,

Ms. Randi Cook

Tell us more about the coupe that you found. Maybe I can help you with any questions that you might have. Triker/Ron Edit update: Sorry, I read "coupe" not "couple"

I live in Indiana and have found one bike in Ohio at Lima Boss Hoss. http://www.limabosshoss.com/home/inventory.asp?i=121

And this one: http://www.limabosshoss.com/home/inventory.asp?i=151

Selling the Harley and Rune to help offset the cost. Still looking for others too.

Have no date to have one by, just starting the search. I have trying to understand the various configurations and transmissions.

Thanks,

Randi

Randi,

Welcome to the V8 Family!

You have me reminiscing back to the days when I was shopping for my Boss Hoss Bike.... exciting times & I’m fired-up for you!

IMHO - stay with a 2-speed + reverse bike, 2001 or newer, get written transmission service records, it would be a bonus if the trans has been rebuilt since 2008 and post pics of your candidate bikes here since someone here often knows the history of bikes.

Good Luck!

Bill

Speaking from experience, the newest and the fewer previous owners possible, the better.

Best to purchase from a dealer of some kind who has gone over it with a fine-toothed comb.

Mine was a little shy of 14 years old (2001 model built in February) when I bought it, and I'm owner #8. It's been a real booger! I would spare you the pain of endless repairs!

Hold out until you can find some well cared-for quality, even if it comes at a hefty price. And, welcome to out V8 corral!
