Symptoms:
- Slight pull to the right on even surfaces
- Windscreen slightly higher on the right side, noticeably crooked
- Right side steering damper fork tube clamp higher than usual
- Front tire visually misaligned when parked and fork was straightened (strangely, no unusual wobble at any speed)
Root cause: loose triple tree bolts caused the right side fork tube to slide upward in the tree.
This old Hoss loves to vibrate herself to death, which reminds me: I need to check the transmission housing bolt through the frame crossmember ('57 Chevy trike) to make sure that huge nut isn't working loose.
Lesson: periodically check critical bolts and other connectors for proper torque and fitment.
