Does anyone have a picture of how to zip tie the choke linkage off so it's inoperable on a 1901 Edelbrock. I know it's simple but I forgot how they did it . Don't need no stinken choke here in Fort Myers Florida.
Thanks , Jack
Choke linkage
Re: Choke linkage
I guess the best thing to do would be to remove the choke butterfly .
Re: Choke linkage
Hi Jack,
I have a Holley 750 which used to have a PITA electronic choke which I removed and with the tank off I took the air filter off and watched where the external linkage sat as I opened the butterfly then zipped it to a nearby protruding screwhead, it's been great since. A couple of good throttle pumps when cold and she fires up a treat. You should be able to do it with the rear of the tank raised up.

Re: Choke linkage
Jack, as I recall you have a choke cable on yours.
Just find where it connects to the linkage, disconnect
it and replace with a tie wrap. that should hold your
choke open till the cows come home.

I haven't really looked at it yet but I know it's not rocket science.Paul H wrote:Jack, as I recall you have a choke cable on yours.
