what is the best timming light to use dial back advance or what else ??? ez to read my book says 42 %tdc 2500 rpm 502

I use an Xenon White timing light with a clamp-on Inductive Pickup.
It might help if you use correction fluid (tippex) on the harmonic balancer and black marker pen over the white background at 42 deg.
