I was told to warm up the bike until the trans was up to 150 degrees. It has nothing to do with the engine, which in my case is FI. I wasn't about to take any chances with the trans.

With my cooler set up it takes a long long time for my trans temp to reach 150 , in fact it very seldom ever gets up to 150 unless it's a very hot day and even then about 160 is tops .

Normally let my diesel & petrol engines tick over for about 30 secs before driving/riding off.

Lets the oil get to where it's needed as the bores are dry on cold starts.

You're right. I miss spoke, I was told to wait till the engine temp is 150, not the trans temp.
