Radiator cap

Post by IowaV8 »

Lately my bike fills the overflow tank, but when it cools it never pulls any coolant back into the engine which it should do and used to do. Connections are tight so I suspect a bad radiator cap that may be the cause of lack of vacuum to do that. I see Summit Racing has V8 caps in 7psi and 16psi and don't know which one to get. Any ideas what Boss Hoss uses for psi? I'd like to try one and see if it helps the situation. If anyone has other thoughts on the matter let me know. Thanks! P.S. By the way, the picture is old and I didn't have the tank on at that time.

Hi Tim and hope all is well with you. I replaced mine a while back and I believe I installed the 16 lb. cap. I pried it out of the BH V8 cover and press fit the new one in.
