First Winters Transmission coming to Canada!!!!

Post by CanuckHoss »

I just ordered a Winters transmission for a good customer from BC who owns a 502 I sold him.

it is our FIRST Winters install and unless I am mistaken the FIRST Winters in Canada!!!

I am super excited and will update when we do the install.

It started out a week ago with the customer as a conversation about a batwing fairing with stereo and towards the end I asked if he knew about the new transmission available. He said no and after a brief few minute conversation he said LET'S DO IT!!!!

PS There is going to be a used Nesco for sale after we install the Winters and my customer is open to offers!!.

Looking forward to your write-up...

Are Winters ordered "off the shelf" Barry?
If so, how long until you get it?

These are Big Bucks, but think it's money well spent.

yes...in stock through Mountain Boss Hoss and ready to ship. I am guessing two weeks Ground Shipping.

There is no doubt in my mind if I was on a two wheeled Boss Hoss that there would be another tranny heading this way.

Not rebuilt and I cannot confirm if it is good or bad...sorry..

Only thing I can say is that he never heard of the new Winters until 2 minutes before I told him and that is all it took to make him decide YES!! he never mentioned issues with the tranny.

Sheeesh. Totally sorry as I never updated here. Install went good. Had an issue with breather pushing out tranny fluid but resolved. I never drove it as these two wheelers are too rough for my back but Josh drove it and said rolling burnouts in 2nd at 60mph are a breeze!!!

I believe I am going to consider a Winter's tranny
for my 2001 ZZ4 BH, which I have had since new.
I am at 94,000 miles at this time, having no issues
with my Nesco, but am thinking for the long haul.
I plan to keep my bike.
Barry, how is your customer liking the Winter's?
I plan to go test-ride a factory demo bike(with a
Winter's tranny) for an afternoon. I would like to
see how it does. I am the most fortunate BH rider
to live in Dyersburg, where they are all made.
