Compression Testing.

Post by rocketsteve »

Did a search on this subject but no testing info really available.

So, I've checked her today and with a ratio of 10:1 that calculates to 150 psi on each cylinder.

I have 180, 190 & 200 psi on 7 cylinders with No.1 cylinder at 160 psi - so I'll back off the Inlet Valve a 1/8 turn when she cools down, that should fix it.

Nevertheless, they are high reading but I think all is good inside.

Hmmm, thinking it might be time to replace my old 1970's tester with a newer one...

This bike deserves the best money can buy! :D

I'll test her again when I get the new tool.

EDIT:
Tested on new tool now and all range from 160 to 175psi so that looks good.
