Battery cable size

Post by knockdolian »

Hi all, I know I read it somewhere but can’t find it now. What’s the battery cable to starter motor size.
AWG or mm2. Thanks

I have used this guy's 1/0 AWG cables on an old car and very happy with them.

Before using this guy, I went to my local parts store and was appalled at the sorry excuse of battery cables they were were selling; small gauge wire and cheap connectors.
Regards,

Mark

Thanks, got some made up at work. To have some made and sent to Uk would be expensive. The stock BH ones aren’t very big at all, about 6AWG. I only need new ones because I’ve replaced my battery and the posts are the opposite sides . The ones I’ve had made are 35mm2 about 2 AWG Which looks plenty big enough being a 40” run. Thanks again
