When I tried it out and rolled it up to 84 mph it was 98% better. Either the tire or the wheel has a problem if its this far out , but its ok enough for now.

I had the balance beads vacuumed from the ME880 tire after breaking the bead on one side. His new machine said it needed this many weights, on both sides.

915 miles , and the more I drive it to work with my lunch bag as a passenger, the better.
It was still having an issue with the vent line from the Dana rear in that the little catch bottle I had always gained more oil. I started with a small 1/8" line and then a 1/4" line , and now this setup.
I'm not sure at all, but I think the smaller volume of airspace ,as compared to a straight axle, makes it easier to push fluid out when it comes up to temp.
Today I pulled the top off and it was empty . I think that s gonna be crossed of the "list" now.
Next up is the windshield . It's not wide enough and I don't like the tint at all at night. I do like the JW Speaker head light ! Its great. A clear shield will be the next thing I make .
The IRS thing, I'm glad it has it. I notice its ride quality now that I have more miles on it.
I might sell it if I win that 700 million tonight.

The clear windshield is on and now 20 in. wide . I made spacers so it sits an inch taller without going to the next size up on MR-10 .
I ask my mom if she wanted to go for a ride yest aftn. since temps here were great. We went about 20 miles on back roads, and when I was only 1/8 mile from returning home, the throttle cable felt like it broke. hmm?
I coasted into the development, and idled up the street, and up the driveway , into the garage. How lucky was that !!!!
We sort of joked about it while having a half glass of wine. I thought it might have popped out of the barrel somehow, but it broke next the ball.
I found two places in the housing where there were marks from rubbing that shouldn't be. I used the smallest Dremel bit I had and hope it will be a better ride for the next Barnett cable...
And BTW, she thought I was driving much faster than the 35-45 I was, but thanked me and said it was a lot of fun. She's 87 in a couple weeks !

It's been running good enough this summer to drag the trailer around (just locally). The hitch setup works good , but its been really hard to get the brake controller calibrated . I gave up and got tired of messing with it.

Mom, yes well that didn’t happen. The company that was going to do it went under. Think I told you that. Got in touch with other company’s. Mos said no. Others wanted more than I could buy them from US for (before the Brigitte farce) so I went for 6 degree trees. The transformation is unbelievable.Imzz4 wrote:Paul its looks good ! Since its been running pretty nice lately , other than the relay problem , I decided to worry about the throttle cable breaking since the first one broke last year.
I do have a spare one from Barnett, but this hokey one will get me home with no tools on a hot motor, should I need it. Very classy !

I've been getting it ready for Daytona. So I started at the back and upgraded the light bar to a 3 wire one, and changed the led to a blue one. While Iwas re- buffing everything, I caught an edge and almost lost it to the wall, but two fingers managed to save it !
The man who painted it was here last month and buffed the clear coat after I had sanded it with 1500 and 2000. Looks great again.
We're looking forward to meeting lots of good folks down there !

I thought since two yrs has gone by I’d make an update on the ‘progress’ . It has 4000 mi on it now and it hasn’t really had any terrible problems. The converter not locking up was still bugging me , and at one point I did replace the solenoid , 4th gear switch and temp switch. But that didn’t change anything, so I just rode it anyhow.
I am glad I went with IRS because the ride is really nice. I would have liked have chosen a larger dia. sway bar shaft, but it’s ok. The inboard brake rotors on the Jag rear seemed like a good way to go ,but the diameter is only 10”, and I wish they were much larger. I haven’t looked into four piston calipers if they even exist.
A year ago the fuel mileage continually went south running very rich, and nothing I tried helped lean it out . Long story short ,Holley installed new software , and I replaced the 02 sensor again, and added the 3 1/2” touchscreen on the bars. Now it’s back up to 15 mpg.
Since riding season is over now in so.central Pa. ( home of John Fentynalman), I was reluctantly planning to put a new converter in it . After testing and proving that pressures were not the problem,
I found for the second time I had wired something wrong again. Imagine that ?
This would be the last time to test everything with the pan off, and I found that second temp switch was not closing until just under 200 degrees. I removed it for good. It locks up now with a 200-250 rpm drop. I run it through an LED switch on the bars , brake relay, and vacuum switch which is closed from 17 to 8” of vacuum. Now it’s rolling at 72 at 2000 rpm’s.
With that solved finally, the next thing is finishing the cruise control. And I just took the tank off yesterday …….

So much for just wire up the cruise!! Of course no matter how closely the directions were followed , and rechecked , and even speaking with the Rostra tech ( good people) , I couldn’t get it to into the troubleshooting mode which uses an LED on the servo board to help find the problem.
Here is some of the wire mess I made temporarily.. still, everything metered as it should until I found missing power on the transistor output of the control switch.
I added a separate temporary switch , and that was the real problem all along.
They’re sending a new complete control switch , but I’m gonna replace that transistor and see how it functions .
