Header coating

Post by hogv8 »

Does anyone know of a good header coating (Like a high temp paint ) that will withstand the very high heat the headers produce ?
Apparently there is no one in my area that does ceramic coating .
Thanks , Jack

Jet-Hot is a good one, Berzerkers headers have the extreme 2500 coating.
The process was easy, basically box your headers and ship to Jet Hot, had them back less than 2 weeks.

Jack -

I agree and can speak from experience Jet Hot is the company to use for ceramic coatings. I've used them probably more then dozen times with various projects. The coatings are extremely rugged too, always looked brand new no matter how many miles or years. I've used flat black almost exclusively ... it would look AWESOME on your bike. The process not only looks good but will also help exhaust gas flow better (faster) which will also take heat away more efficiently too.

Thanks Guys , is it expensive ? I plan on just doing the exhaust headers only , not the whole exhaust .

The last set I did were just headers, it's been awhile but I believe it was in the $300 range? Give them a call and get a quote. Do you have new headers? I know there is an extra charge to clean the old set up if used ... still cheaper to clean then replace.

Thanks Don , I'm buying a used set that are supposed to be in good condition but I'm sure they would need cleaning .
