This is "cool" stuff! I was hoping to find an answer to a question about the size of the water pump port opening compared to the engine port opening - should they be the same size?
The new water pump I just received has a 7/8" port and the engine is 1" (I no longer have the original pump to check what size port it had). I am assuming the size difference is for belt adjustment?? Is that a good assumption? If this is correct then what size gasket do you use between the two? The larger diameter or the smaller?
