2016 12th international Boss Hoss meeting in Germany

Post by Swiss V8 »

Just to let everybody know:

The 2016 International Boss Hoss meeting at Pullman City Harz in Germany is earlier than usual.

The new dates are:

June 16th 2016 to June 19th 2016

All who already had a reservation, that will be taken care off by Pullman City.

All the others, make shure you write down the correct dates!

Here is the HP of Pullman City Harz:
http://www.westernstadt-im-harz.de/

The rental houses just next to Pullman City are a great place to stay while there:
http://www.ferienpark-harz.com/

Both HP are done in German, but there should be some translators out there...

I hope to see some of you guys (and girls) next year!
Martin

Hi Martin,

I've sent you a PM but hope to go to the Meeting this year. It would be great to see if any others from here are going so thought I'd bump this.

Looks like Barry might be inconvenienced but it's a few months off so hopefully...

I am Planning on attending again. MAY even have my scoot shipped over to ride while I am there. I have already had one customer threaten me with an Order / install during the month but I was able to convince him to alter his dates.
May have a friend join me but not sure yet. He is just now learning to ride and I am not sure I want to throw him into the German countryside with only a few months under his belt.
Wife and kid also want to see Germany so I will have to get that figured out as well.
Lots to consider and plan but I will be there one way or another.

Dennis,

I'm booked into a small place just North of Eging am See on the 17th/18th. I'll be riding back at end of the 19th.

I'm taking the Hoss.

Love to meet up and swop stories. Keep in touch.

Once I book my flight, I will be making reservations at Pullman City. Will be staying at the 2 story units they have on property :)

Hi guys,

DOH! Looks like I screwed up my booking bigtime.

Checking Martin's post I noted while the Ferienpark is fully booked - there must be alternatives - I looked up Pullman City Westernstadt on Googlemaps and booked a pension 4kms North in Eging am See. I checked the distance to the Stadt on Googlemaps only to find a route spanning 561kms!

I checked again after reading Martin's post and realised there are 2 Pullman City Westernstadts in Germany!

So I've re-booked and the nearest I could get was in Allrode - a small country apartment complex, very private parking, 11kms away. A bit nearer too!

It pays to double-check everything.

^ is where I stay. It is literally next door and a 3 minute walk ... 5 while slightly intoxicated ;)

It is really handy to stay there because should you accidentally find yourself unable to ride ... You leave the bike parked in front of the saloon and just walk to your room. You move the bike off of Main St. by noon the following day and everyone is happy.

I checked it out first Dennis (same thinking as you on the short intoxicated walk) but they are "ausgebucht" for the 4 days.

Petra from Boss Hoss Cologne has reserved a lot of the Apartments. If they tell you they are booked (ausgebucht) ask her. She might have some left. But hurry. We always book a year ahead.

Yes it's best to check twice...

I'm quite sure I'll be there too.

To stay with the crowd it's really best to contact Petra from BH Cologne:
p.mueller'at'bosshosscycles.de
She books a lot of houses in the Ferienpark next to PC Harz. But hurry up they might already be gone.
Maybe she might find someone to share a house with you. There are 2 bedrooms in the house.

I usually book the room in the Westernpark at least one year in before!

Unfortunately or fortunately, which ever way you look at it !! My wife and I are booked for the Isle of Mann TT which we have done for the past 6 years. End of may, beginning of June. We have to book this a year in advance so didn't know I was getting a BH then. Hopefully 2017. Is it in the same place every year, how big is the rally and is camping an option ?
Thanks

Usually the International Boss Hoss Rally at Pullman City Harz is the LAST weekend in June. It was some Event missmatch or overlapping that made the organizers to shift it one week earlier this year.

You can camp in a tent in PC or if you come with a camper just outside of PC there is a field to park the camper.

Here is their HP:
http://www.westernstadt-im-harz.de/

I hope to meet you in 2017 then!

Martin,

I plan to travel with you in June of 2017
to Pullman City. I still plan to ship my bike
over. I will keep you posted as things progress.
Please make sure we have a room in
Pullman City/Hasselfelde for 2017.

Does that mean you're shipping your SB over to tour Europe?
Any plans yet when you arrive and leave, where you want to go?

It is something that may become a reality. Just a few things have to happen and it will probably get shipped over. On that list is to Install the Kewl Metal Front End :) Hopefully I will get it by the end of Jan so when I get done with this job I can get it installed and get some saddle time in before Bike Week. A few other minor tweaks and it will be good to go. Will probably need to Install another Nitrous Bottle because I am not sure there are too many Nitrous filling stations along the Autobahn LoL.
No Plans as of yet ( You know me ) but One thing I can promise you is that I will NOT be taking it on one of those retarded 6 lane round a bouts like we found in Berlin!!!

I hope everything works out with bike it would be great to get us 3 together for a photo shoot on some ride outs.

Also hope Barry's back gets sorted soon and he can get out there. I'd say a legitimate business expense as you will be promoting Destination. Even with a rented car if you have a helmet we will have spare pillions.
