10th Int. Boss Hoss meeting at Pullman City II / Germany

Post by Mark »

All,

I thought I kick off a new thread on the upcoming 10th anniversary of the annual international meeting in Germany. The rally starts officially on friday the 27 June 2014 and ends on Sunday 29 June 2014. Unoffcially, the meeting starts as early as monday the 23 June with scenic rides everyday in the area.

More information to come, stay tuned!

Hi Bill,

it is progressing. Andys team finished the big bock first benefitting from the newer but redundant parts coming from the small block.

The trike conversion may still be in the works. However, the project already looks like a trike and I am confident that it will be finished on time for the new season.

Are you coming over to Hasselfelde for the BH event?

Best regards.

Hi Mark - great to see you today in Daytona!! Bill and I are seriously considering coming to the Pullman City Event. Can you give me a few more specifics? Where should we fly in to? How far is it from airport to event? You mentioned to call Petra with Germany Boss Hoss for accommodations. We are not sure about shipping our bikes but do you have someone we can contact in case we change our mind? Any other details would be appreciated. Enjoy Daytona!!!

Yes Yes ... inquiring minds want to know :)
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...

For all who are interested to ship a bike or trike to the rally in Europe:

The best way to go is with Knopftours.
http://www.knopftours.com/Web-Site/Welcome.html

If you met Uwe Freund from Germany with his old single speed you know one good source of information about Knopftours.
They ship 4 to 5 containers from Germany to bikeweek in Florida every year. They also do special shippments on appointment.

To find a good place to stay at the rally in Pullman City, you either contact:
- Petra Müller from BH Cologne http://www.bosshosscycles.de/
- Pullman City Harz directly http://www.westernstadt-im-harz.de/deut ... index.html
- Nearby are holiday houses for rent http://www.ferienpark-harz.com/index.php?xy=1280

Sorry the HP's are in German. If you need help, let me know!
I would not mind showing you around when we are up there!

Oh yes, nearly forgot that.
You best fly into Frankfurt. From there it's about 330km/205miles to Hasselfelde, the town where the rally takes place. But you have to pick up your bike/ trike at Heidelberg (80km/50miles) and from there it's about 410km/255miles to the rally.
But hey don't forget, it's the German Autobahn, that means mostly NO speed limit! The travel time is up to you that way... :ridding: :crash:

I have been mulling this around for the past 4 months..no decision made yet..

As a matter of fact Bill and I were looking at flights to Germany this evening and then realized we do not have passports. I guess we had better file for that first then call Petra to see if there are rooms available. Bottom line we are seriously considering it. Plus this trip can have a dual purpose - we celebrate our 29th year wedding anniversary on June 22. :maninlove: I can't think of a better way to celebrate

Peter...

Are there still rooms in Pullman...or close to it...or do you know?

Who is going for sure from the USA or Canada?? I am thinking on it really hard. Can't really find a reason not to go. I most likely would be the only Canuck if I did go.

Anyone have Uwe's email address in Germany?

Dear Mister Radu,

thank you for your E-Mail and your interest in our Boss Hoss Meeting.

But I have to tell you that there’s no room left. You must book a year before because it’s one of our Special Motor Events and it’s very fast fully booked.

We hope that we see you to another weekend!

Sincerely,

Lea Petrick

Barry,
It is difficult to find a room at this time but if we talk to Wolfgang (Owner of Pullman) there may be a chance. There are always people who have to cancel. Otherwise you can find rooms in the area, but that means driving there at night.

I will try at the Ferienpark just next to Pullman city. http://www.ferienpark-harz.com/index.php?xy=1280
They rent out houses. Ground floor they have a kitchen weth a dining area and a living room with a sofa bed for 2 persons. Upstairs are two bedrooms with double beds. So in there can stay 4 people in comfort or 6 when you turn the living room into a bedroom.

What dates would you arrive and leave there?

Thank you so much for your efforts checking into rooms Martin and Peter and for Uwe's email..

Most likely I would rent a car for the time there so driving a bit to a room at night is not a big deal...even 30 minutes drive would probably be ok.

I was thinking of arriving the 26th...and going home the 30th so i would need rooms for the 26, 27 28 and 29. I could get a room in frankfurt for the 29 if need be.

See what you can come up with and thanks again..greatly appreciated...

Hasselfelde to Pullman city does not look very far..lots of hotels there..is that an option?

I suggest you touch base with Petra Müller at Boss Hoss Germany who is overseeing the booking situation at PCII. Let me know if I can help.
