Daytona Bike Week 2014

Post by CanuckHoss »

March 7th thru the 16th 2014.

Who is going?

Today I just booked for myself..Gwen is not going. I used my Expedia.ca credits from the flights I had booked last year with Gwen. Today was the last day or I would have lost the $1,800 credit.

I fly in Thursday night the 6th..late..11:30pm...15 hours from leaving home...yuk... Expedia and delta want me to see as much of the USA as possible. Calgary to Salt Lake City, then to Atlanta, then to Daytona

I fly out Sunday morning the 16th...12 hours to get home...Daytona to Atlanta, then to Seattle, then to Calgary

So I get 9 full days there. Hopefully the shipping works for me from here for a bike or trike or maybe rent when I get there ...not ideal but still ok.

See you all there!!

Sue and I will be there! Will be participating in all the V8 events. Looking forward to seeing you there - only got to speak with you for a few minutes during the rats hole show last year. The one good think about your airline travel is that every airport probably has a Starbucks :D Here is a link to the official site. They only have a few events listed but it will grow as it gets closer.

we will be there for at least a week and maybe 4 extra days if the Tropic Shores has some extra room. If we don't rent our other condo we will place it in the rental pool.

Yep, planning on be there ... Daytona Bike Week has been sort of a tradition to winters end for me for a long time. If I can stay out of the hospital I'll be there a few days before and a few days after ...

Cheryl and I will be there for our usual 3 week Vacation , the week before thru the week after bike week . More and more we enjoy the week before as well or better than bike week itself . There are plenty of bikers there the week before and you can ride anywhere and park in front of just about any bar you please , walk in and buy a beer for pre bike week prices :goodidea: .

watch this and the other V8 site as events will posted, other than that get someone to show you how to get to the Duncan spread as normally folks will gather there around 5pm for a social and great hospitality from Billy & Phyliss. Probably the largest place when V8 folks are is at the Tropic Shores at 3111 S. Atlantic Av. Most will be washing down bikes around the 9-10am time. The V8Chopper tent on the east end Speedway Blvd. area is another gathering place especially for the V8C crowd but also BH folks show up. The BH factory and other dealers will be at Hollyland Park, 1064 Ridgewood (US#1 N), then there is the First Turn bar and grill also in US1 S. in Port Orange about a mile or so south of the Dunlawton Cswy. intersection.

FYI - Boss Hoss Factory and several dealers such as Stamford, Houston, Beannie, Siron, Frederick and Chooper City are going to be at a new location in Holly Hill on Route 1. All paved, growing area.

Hopefully a good hangout spot!

No address yet.

It will be on the west side of Route 1 near the Holly Hills vendor area. Apparently, the town is stepping up their efforts to lure bikers to Holly Hills. We'll see.

Looking forward to seeing you and Bill once again this year!

The last thing I had to soldify for the trip was shipping.

The truck / Company that I was trying to help fill from a few hours North of me could not get their act together so Friday I booked with Daily Direct.

Tomorrow fairly early I head south 4 hours to the Border to drop off kevin's LS3 bike and my Willys trike with the trucker.

Forecast is for a bit of snow...fingers crossed on this one.
