BEWARE: Auto Detailing Spray

This is not a knock on the product, as it is great! I've used it on my car for more than 10 years, BUT...

I made the mistake of applying Maguire's detailing spray to my Boss Hoss '57 Chevy trike. It dulled the finish. I followed-up by washing it with dishwashing soap. It appears to have helped a little, but I'm thinking I might have to use a polishing wheel.

Fortunately, this is a mild annoyance. The paint is not wrecked. I will gladly keep using Maguire's on my 2011 Mustang.

Lesson learned: TEST THE PRODUCT ON AN OBSCURE SPOT FIRST! You never know how it might react, especially if your ride has non-factory aftermarket paint and clearcoat.
