Barry, here is another thought that Ricky may want to take up with his tuner, maybe BEFORE they start tweeting the LS ECM programming : The engine's inlet air duct tract is restricted by it's shape, plus the MAF (mass air flow p/n: AF10043) sensor has been "chopped down" on it's leaving air end, to enable the MAF to mounted right up against the throttle plate. This can,t give a true airflow reading IMO. I've got ideas of how it can be corrected, but they have in the past, not listened to Craigie, LOL !

They are way ahead of you on this I believe. Ricks innovative friend up in Canada...a customer of mine and about 2 hours away has an LS2 that he designed a full new air snorkle for. I posted some pictures on the other site a few years ago or he did...can't remember.... he lowered the radiator to be able to do it and have the snorkle go straight ahead and out...eliminated the squeeze down effect from coming over the rad...craig haymaker wrote:Barry, here is another thought that Ricky may want to take up with his tuner, maybe BEFORE they start tweeting the LS ECM programming : The engine's inlet air duct tract is restricted by it's shape, plus the MAF (mass air flow p/n: AF10043) sensor has been "chopped down" on it's leaving air end, to enable the MAF to mounted right up against the throttle plate. Re: Bike / trike changes we want the Factory to address
I just added a comment or two to the lists regarding trike seating.
Seating...Applies to trikes. I find the seating position on the newer trikes (LS motored trikes) closer to the tank and bars...actually too close...seems the seat position pushes the driver's arse too far forward for my liking. I test drove a 2012 LS300 and then jumped back on my 2008 and the 2008 was a better fit.
And in Daytona last year I ran across 6 Boss Hoss trikes at a rest stop and pulled in to meet a bunch of Boss Hoss riders and passengers for the first time. We had a great visit. A couple of the trike passengers complained that the sissybar for the passenger is located too far back...they are part way off the back of the seat if they want to rest against the sissybar.

Another thought to add...METAL front fenders on all units instead of the plastic ones that crack.

Ya Barry, I see that I have a crack starting on rear bolt - left side. Is there anything I can do at this point to prevent it from traveling further ? Craig H.CanuckHoss wrote:Another thought to add...METAL front fenders on all units instead of the plastic ones that crack.

Yes...I have replied to a thread started already almost a couple months now...the guys at the shop reinforced the fender and then I took it to a friend to have him fix the chip in the paint where it hit the fan mount...he is usually really fast but I still don't have it back to post pictures of what my guys did...soon I hope...craig haymaker wrote:Ya Barry, I see that I have a crack starting on rear bolt - left side. Here is the thread..."subscribe" to it so you don't miss when I do post pictures...similar to Bills but we did kind of overkill strength.

I would like that whenever the seat was removed there would be fresh stack of US currency in various denominations. No other manufacturer offers this and it would really be cutting edge technology.

Re: Bike / trike changes we want the Factory to address
NO big Boss Hoss decals.
When Bennie builds a new bike, it looks very good because of no decals. Maybe a small one only on the side of the gauge cover that lifts up. Someone last week wanted to sell me a newer bike. It looks good, paint is nice but large white decals on the new style tank red tank and side covers, kind of turned me off.
No mater how big the letters..... they always ask what kind of bike it is? Is that a Harley?
Another two cents worth
Good luck Ricky and thank you

Trike triple trees with similar rake & trail numbers as the KewlMetal units. Power steering without any headshake.
Nicer running boards. The standard units look like an afterthought. Offer a few board options.
More wheel options for trikes. Offer a wheel/tire delete option so customers can install what they want w/o paying for it,twice.
Billet aluminum trunk prop-rods on the trikes. Get rid of the gas struts.
A few different radiator shroud options would be nice.
Stainless exhaust header option.
Better LED lighting on front & rear of both bikes & trikes.
A few different seat options.

How about body tilt kit for the trikes? I was hoping one would've been designed for the Gangsta, but never was, to my knowledge

Not impossible but harder due to how low the backend of the body is and how far it sticks back.
I will add it to the list...thanks

I want to hear from BH Trike owners that have a Kewl Metal rake; how does it ride, handle at low and high speed, over bumps, etc etc, anything about Kewl Metal or being raked-out that you don't like?

Re: Bike / trike changes we want the Factory to address
I can not talk about bikes since I have never owned one, but my 2 cents about trikes: other than the ideas about improving and/or adding, one issue that I think is important, is the quality of the parts, I did buy an fairing and back rest for my trike, honestly, both looked like someone was in a hurry to take them out of the mold and ship them like that, to make the back rest fit on the trike was a challenge, had to tie it, apply heat, re mold it, cut it etc to somewhat make it fit, the general look is ok, but when you detail it, there are some details that can be improved.
About the same with the fairing, there is no attention to details, you have to work them to make them look nice, but still, relation price vs value should improve
The same happen with some chrome parts, and I do take care of the bike as far as washing, polishing etc, but on many parts the chrome has failed
I think that improving something is not just adding things to make it easier or better, but also delivering quality and attention to details to the existing parts

if it has a solution, why to worry? and if not, why to worry?
