Carl,

The link you posted took me to a blank page. It did find a link there to your blogs where I found your "Tank-O-Matic".

For one that was not born a genius and needs further explanation....how do you handle the cross over fuel line. That was always the most aggravating thing about removing the tank. Actually, removing wasn't bad...re-installing was. I had to feed that cross over back through a very tight space in front of the carb and then reach in the very confined space with my hand to slip the tight fitting hose over the tank nipple and then tighten a hose clamp..."PITA"!!! The cross over line was the most time consuming part of tank removal.

Also, I had (and most do) the gauge cluster on the tank to deal with.

I fixed the link

I will be running the crossover back and around the distributor. I know a few have done this and it doesn't need to be disconnected to pull the tank. The gauge cluster is a, small, problem for most of you. I don't have one. I don't think removing it is a big issue. Don't most of them have a single electrical disconnect ? I did this because of the 4 bolts, washers and nuts that I had to remove each time. Fumbling with them, dropping the nuts onto the top of the engine and loosing them in a crevice or some other black hole. I just found the whole process to be a big PITA.
