Looks Great! You do fine work! Are we going to see you and it in Daytona Next Month?
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...
Re: My Boss Hauler is on the road
Mark, will you please tell us more about your truck???
Is it all an old Mack or just the cab and hood on a
newer truck frame and running gear??? I've seen
a lot of Petes and Kenworths cab put on later frames.
Very nice work which ever it is...

The truck is a 59 B Model Mack nose and cab on a Chev C3500 frame and drive train. The engine is a 454, automatic trans all stock from the C3500. If you are interested, here is a link to the build diary:

Each picture has a short annotation with it.
It has taken me just short of two years to get the "Mackolet" to this stage; I work slow in my old years.
Runs and drives great. I have a little over a 1000 miles on it now.
The next modification will be semi tires and wheels.

Mark

Not planning on Daytona this year. I like the smaller events.

That is such an awesome truck. Incredible job!
Re: My Boss Hauler is on the road
Incredible is maybe little short of what you have accomplished. I think it's just outstanding what you
have with what you started with. I love the the collar
combo you choose. Just outstanding workmanship.

It's official, Mark. If I had your stuff, I'd burn mine. I always liked those old "B"s. My friend had one, all restored, that he used as his service truck
Re: My Boss Hauler is on the road
Thanks for all of the kind words and compliments.
A little story about how I got here....
Several years ago, I was in Salt Lake City after spending the week crewing for a very good friend at Bonneville that has a land speed car. I did not even own a MC at the time. Before returning the rental car, I stopped at a gas station to fill it up. Well what pulls in to the gas station? One of those huge International Pickups (An International CXT) with a Boss Hoss strapped down on the back!
I was so impressed (and envious) that I have not been right since.
A year or two after that, I bought my first SB. I later would put an Amerideck lift in a Ford dually. Just did not have the look I wanted. Beings I could not afford a CXT or a customized F650 with a pickup bed, I went to work building the Mackolet. Planning an out West road trip with it later this year. Plan on making the Reno Air Races in mid-September.
