Re: Tear Down
I got the frame reinstalled without any issues. Started bolting on all of the ancillaries, brake pedal, master cylinder, pegs, etc. Starting to look like a bike again. Patting myself on the back, I went to the left sde to add the shift and clutch linkage. Uh oh.......there's a big hole in the bellho...
Re: Tear Down
Dropped the frame and swing arm off, yesterday, to be coated. Should be ready tomorrow or Monday. Then reassembly can begin. I have cleaned and polished or painted all of the little widgets and doodads, soaked and cleaned all of the fasteners, etc. Should go back together in a couple of days. Might ...

Re: Horn Upgrade.
I have to disagree. Been riding for nearly 55 years and have used my horn many times, effectively. In CA, where lane splitting is legal, a good, loud horn is a must

Re: Horn Upgrade.
I believe the one wire from the handlebar switch is a ground. You should have a switched, hot wire going to the relay. The horn will work when the ignition is on. The engine doesn't have to be running

Re: Holley Sniper installed on Smallblock - just completed
Well, he got the unit on the bike and got it to fire. Still waiting for a report on how it runs. I know there was an oil leak that he needed to address. I'm very interested in the Sniper, so I hope to hear more, soon

Re: Water Wetter
I always add three ounces of Dr. Peabody's Flywheel Lube and Horse Liniment to each quart of coolant.
Seriously, check out this video. Water Wetter has gotten a pretty bad rap as far as gooping up the cooling system with brown sludge. I'd use the Purple Ice

Re: Questions: Independent Rear Suspension Trike
Yes that should be good. It seems like norm had one of those also. Check with him about that experience. I see that JIMBO on his second post ever on this site would like to take a negative experience and pass it on. There are virtually hundreds of owners with positive experiences so ask some of the...

Tear Down
I finished tearing the bike down today. Split the frame, pulled the engine. Still have to get it up onto the engine stand. Just as I finished, the parts showed up, so I will be replacing the bent rod in the next day or two. I have a bunch of stuff on my plate, but I hope to begin reassembly soon. I ...

Re: ZZ4 Upgrades
I hate to rehash an old subject that caused a rift between me and another member, but I am still skeptical. The "proven" 38% has not been proven to me. An automatic transmission, much like an alternator, a water pump, an A/C compressor, etc. is a parasitic device. It takes a defined number...

Re: Help from the TT
There are two wires going into the distributor. One is hot, one goes to the tach, if you have one. Run a wire from a hot source to the hot lead on the distributor. Fire it up and ride home. I believe all of these fancy anti theft gadgets are a waste of money. They all seem to pack it in at the worst...

Re: Flywheel Lube ?
Your original post asked a question that was silly. Anyone with the mechanical acumen to check their oil knows that a flywheel doesn't require any lube. We had a bit of fun, at your expense. Don't get your dick in a knot. Your refusal to admit that you might have been wrong and the rather nebulous c...
