Glad you made it and had a great time. What repairs are needed now? Were they old ones or trip related?

Re: A few good jokes

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a cold beer. The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking. My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing, and I said, "Nothing." The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "...

Re: Starter Relay

Could be an intermittent short via a chafed wire touching metal or a fuse issue. I would first follow the wiring from the relay to the fuse box and see if there are any issues.

Re: Boss Hoss ZZ4 Alternator Belt Squeal

Have you considered upgrading to the later model (I think started in 06 ?) ribbed belt setup? A fairly simple job after removing radiator. You will need a torque wrench that goes to about 250, which I believe the crank pulley needs to be. I would use a new bolt as well. Both pulleys should be easy t...

Private message problems?

There are two members who are having problems with the pm system. Can anyone having issues post here and let me know? I want to determine if it is a forum software, hosting, or an individual computer issue. Once you send a pm it goes into your outbox and won't leave there until the recipient reads i...

Gordon, I called the factory today about getting a part number for the outer portion. They have their number (1510309) but not the Brembo#. Maybe you can call your contacts over there and see if they can cross reference?

Re: LED headlight changeover

There is no name on it to reference on eBay. If you want to calculate cost to send it over from Florida, 32720, I would be happy to pick it up and send it out to you. I am going there in about 2 hours so if you want, could buy it today, would just need the size.

Re: LED headlight changeover

Mine is a JW Speaker clone from China that was $120 with a 2 year warranty. The JW's are about $380. The guy I bought it from said he has sold a crapload with no issues and he is local so if, by chance, something does go wrong, I can easily swap it out.

Re: Installed LED Brake Light - Blowing Fuses

I think you are on the right track with the exposed wire or defective unit theory. I have spliced many wires over the years with slighly different guages with no issues. Would not be suprised if it is the plate frame being as most are manufactured overseas with questionable quality control. I have a...
