Re: Back In The V8 World, Again
Glad you are back Clint! Yes, it would be nice to have this forum come back to life. It seems as though Facebook has neutered many forums. I’m going to start posting more things here, especially stuff about rallys, tech stuff, etc.

So far we will offer the axe throwing and gun range shooting on a rainy day, have the V8 only bike show, painting of the streets, Wild Bills Shriner parade and looking at the beer tub girls!

Re: Carb rebuild.
Honestly, do yourself a favor and trash that thing. Many of us have had many problems and issues. I, as well as others, have gone with the QuickFuel carb which is under the Holley company. Easy to adjust and tune, flawless operation with no issues, also, whatever carb you decide to go with, ask them...

In your case, it would best to buy a universal set that you can cut to your specific application. Some come with a crimping tool but they are usually not the best. I would buy/rent the proper tool or have a shop do the actual crimping for the best outcome. We call them spark plug wires.

Re: cleaning ceramic headers
I soak a rag in wd-40 and wrap it around the affected areas (once they are cooled off) and let it sit overnight. Then, I use Mothers Aluminum polish and it works great with no problems. I really like the Neverdull idea too!
