Re: Starter Solenoid.

Can't disagree with that, other Relays I've found are small 1" cube plastic boxes dotted around the bike.

Re: Starter Solenoid.

I tend to call it a Solenoid rather than a Relay.
Heavy metal construction with eyelet connection and sits between the Battery & Fuel pump.
Mine is also flying like yours!

Starter Solenoid.

Do any of you have the slightest clue how much power the Ford Starter Solenoid is sucking out of the system...?

Starter motor not disengaging.

This has completely baffled me, the original Starter burned out because of this problem so I've installed a brand new Powermaster 9502 and new Starter Solenoid. Expert up the road tested the old Starter and said the Starter Solenoid on the Starter Motor was sticking. When I wire up the new Starter m...

Re: F.A.S.T. EFI for older bikes and trikes

The fuel in the UK has now changed to E10 which is no good for my Holley Double Pumper, E5 is almost impossible to find at fuel stations and risk running dry (again) while hunting for E5! >:-(
So Barry has convinced me to buy the FAST EFI 30227 - 06 kit on eBay ~ $1,667.17
Looks like fun to fit...

E10 Fuel.

I ran out of fuel yesterday as I hunted around for the standard unleaded E5 petrol
:banghead:

Can anyone tell me if our Hoss'es can take E10% as there's no info in the UK on resistance with rubber seals etc. to E10 in our bikes?

I have the SB with Holley double pumper.

Do you use a "Battery Tender/Charger" Jack?

Re: Speedo not working.

Excellent advice - as always, it was that Purple wire, which for some strange reason I'd blanked off on my extended loom up to the new clock consol.
What a total idiot I am!!! - all is working fine now.
Thanks again. :-)

Re: Speedo not working.

Thanks Peter, that might be the purple wire ~ I'll need to empty out the tank and take it off to check.
Will report back when that's done. ;-)

Speedo not working.

Unsure if there's anyone around to help with this but here goes... Had the fuel tank re-shaped/enlarged and in the process of having a new dashboard made so I've noted all the wires on the back of every gauge and temporarily fitted the old dashboard back on the tank. So everything works except the S...

Sounds like a different set-up on the bikes - we don't have a reserve tank.
No petrol smells here, so is this a trike problem maybe?

I'll email you the info once I've sorted it all out.

Re: HT leads

Been thinking about doing the same Paul, all my leads are marked "1" to "8" so they can be removed and lined up in a single row then total length measured for a trip to my local Motor Factor. I think (and hope!) we can get a single length of High Performance lead then cut them to...

Re: Oil Temperature Gauge.

Hi Zepman,

stepped up to 11.5 mm dia with 2 pieces of plastic pipe.
It's now been tested and works fine - no oil leaks.

Put a smear of clear silicone around the top to make sure no water vapour enters the gauge.

Don't know if this is long enough for the 502...

Looks like my membership with BHRA has lapsed so I've re-registered.
Anyway, I get the idea of the Banjo Pressure switch and will order one from Goodridge UK.
BL775-03C ~ 3/8" x 24 JIC looks like the UK part.
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
