Re: Odyssey battery terminals

I just replaced a battery myself, I decided to try a lithium battery. Weight savings is HUGE (aprox 7 pounds = 1 HP ) and CCA is a lot higher too. Here is a link to one, I'm sure there are others out there. https://www.billetproofdesign.com/antigravity-batteries-rs-30-lightweight-performance-lithium...

Re: 502 carb question

What are the 502 guys running for carbs?? Got a 750 demon and don't like the carb.. mileage is crap and runs rich as hell You could try and tune your Demon but it will always be a POS in my opinion . I don't like the Demon carb and their QC is about even with ZILCH. When we built my 383 (over 500hp...

Re: NEW BOSS HOSS MECHANIC OPENS FOR BUSINESS

NASA1, I'm surprised you didn't hook-up w/ Barry Radu from Destination Cycles out in Canada. That couldn't be really that far from Seattle. Just my 2 cents. 25 miles OR 700 miles ... I guess not too far is subjective. I always do my own work. For somebody that doesn't want to or can't for whatever ...

Re: PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG

The problem I see with any law abiding citizen no matter how well they are trained and no matter how good a shot they are when the time comes and the shit hits the fan are they going to have the willpower and the guts to shoot the gunman . We've all heard stories of people having buck fever when it...

Re: PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG

If it was known that any teacher could possible be armed would and incident like this even occur at all. If someone is planning an attack but doesn't know how many people are armed and can fight back seems they would be hesitant to go through with it at all. Shane - I believe you are 100% correct. ...

Re: PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG

As a Royal Marines commando vet of 22 years service I cannot understand the gun fascination some people have. What I do understand is, if you made guns illegal in the US tomorrow the bad guys would keep there’s and the nutters in the world still do what they do. It is illegal to carry a knife in th...

Re: Carburetor Vs EFI

I agree that a carb can run as clean as efi to a certain extent. Carbs rely on physics, yes and no. The carb will run as clean as efi when properly tuned for a CERTAIN elevation. That's it. It may work ok at different elevations but not as good as when it was tuned at X elevation. You see the jets ...

Re: Carburetor Vs EFI

Carbs aren't horrible at all. They can run as clean as EFI, but need to be tuned to do it - by a competent tuner. EFI has code written by those tuners so that it can adjust based off of conditions. So, if you can really tune a carb, you'll be fine, you'll be better than fine. If you can't tune a ca...

Re: Dumb questions from a new BH owner

It could easily can be a kit bike ... the year is not assigned until the bike is first registered. I have never built a BH kit bike but I have built a few other customs in my time. Example like I had a 1995 HD frame (with title of course). I could have registered it as a 1995 Harley or a 2005 Custom...
