Did you get your Trike back on the road? What kind of show stopper stuff did you have to fix?

Re: Fuse Block and Relays
Hi Craig,
It's nice to hear from you and I hope you are well. I completed replacing the relays including the 100 amp main relay. I guess time will tell whether or not the intermittent problem is resolved.
Question: What is the purpose of putting a diode across the holding coil?

Fuse Block and Relays
I have been having some intermittent issues with my 2012 BH being completely dead for a few seconds after turning the key on. I decided to change out the 5 relays on the fuse block just to make sure that the “System Relay” and the “Starter Relay” are okay. My relays are Omron Electronics G8V-1C7T-R-...

Re: Fuel Filter Change Questions
Hi Paul,
The fuel pump is fine so I think the crud is completely from the fuel and whatever crud ends up in the gas tank. The fuel line I changed is the one that goes from the fuel pump back to the gas tank.

Re: Fuel Filter Change Questions
Well I finished changing these two filters (disconnected the battery first). The filter before the fuel pump was not too bad to change and when I cut it in half it was not that dirty. On the other hand the filter after the fuel pump was a nightmare to change, manly because of its location. I was thi...

Fuel Filter Change Questions
IMG_0597.jpg I am in the process of doing a 20K mile routine on my 2012 BH Trike with the 485 HP engine. One of the routines is to change the fuel filters at 500 miles and then every 2500 miles thereafter. I suspect they have never been changed so I purchased the new filters and when I went to make...

Re: Reserve tank possible leak
I had a clamp on the top of the reserve tank that connected the tank to the filler tube get loose which caused a leak when the tank was full. Hopefully your fix is as easy as mine was.

Re: Cold Weather Riding
I finally received my new thermostat and start looking around to see how I am going to do the install. And wow, this Boss Hoss water manifold is not like anything I have ever seen. Here is a picture of the front of the engine: IMG_0184.jpg The lower right hand connection goes to the electric water p...

Re: Cold Weather Riding
It is very interesting how much discussion and disagreement there is on this issue at various Corvette and Chevy forums on the web. I am very curious about how this will work out and whether or not there is even a thermostat in this engine. If there isn't, I can only assume BH did not put one in ori...

That's amazing. Good show!
Re: FIRE !!
Wow that had the makings of a major disaster. Amazing that you were to get the fire out so quickly with no more damage to your machine and no harm to you or your home. Good luck getting back on the road soon. Do you plan on wiring it yourself or would you buy a ready made harness?

Re: Cold Weather Riding
My last BH Trike had the same transmission as yours with the 385 HP engine and I got 20 mpg. The setup I have now averages 23 MPG. An interesting side point is that this trike with the bigger engine runs incredibly cooler even in stop and go traffic, which of course is great in the summer but leads ...

Re: Cold Weather Riding
I did quite a bit of studying on the subject because I was having problems with my TC not locking up properly (it turned out to be an ECU problem). At the moment I can't find the specific document that stated the minimum required temperature for the 4L70E transmission to allow TC lockup but I believ...

Re: Cold Weather Riding
I thought it already had a thermostat for 180. The radiator fan comes on at 210 degrees and shuts off at 180. Are you saying that this setup does not have a thermostat?

Cold Weather Riding
I am looking for some input from you cold weather riders on how you keep your engine temperature in the normal operating range. I rode about 100 miles yesterday with the air temperature in the low 40's and maintained a speed most of the time of about 65 mph. My engine temperature was between 130 and...

Re: Resolved: Tachometer Light Stopped Working
I have been away for a couple of weeks so I just saw that you are still having some issues. Yes put the wiring back like it was. It is okay that the two 12vdc wires were tied together. Take a volt meter and turn the handle to dc voltage. Put the black lead in the "common" hole. Put the red...

Re: Tachometer Back-Lighting Suddenly Stopped Working
Here is the link for your wiring diagram: https://www.autometer.com/media/5795_56 ... 9_6811.pdf
It looks like the white wire needs 12vdc to light your gauge. If there is no 12vdc when your key is on, take a look at your fuse and wiring back towards your battery.

This Sunday is a ride to "Cold Springs Station" on Hwy 50 which is noted as the "Loneliest road in America". Good luck finding this place on the map. It's a 300 miles round trip so it will be an early start with the temperatures in the 30s so I will be wearing my heated gear. A c...

Today my ride was to coffee at the small town of Sutcliffe Nevada on the Paiute reservation on Pyramid Lake. 75 miles round trip. If you Zoom in on the picture through my windshield you will see the town.
Where did you go that was interesting?
