Am I welcome to this event if the V8 bike is at home on the lift?

Hoping to see some of you in Daytona.

I won’t have the bike with me, it hasn’t fully recovered from the accident. I’ll end up at https://www.brucerossmeyer.com/ to see Stan and V8Choppers. Looking forward to meeting or seeing anyone else on a V8. I can’t do Wild Bill’s ride without a bike, but hoping I see everyone anyway. If you’re goi...

Re: Please help me find this part! Finders Fee!!

It pretty much fits. It isn’t made to fit like the other setup, but it works. I’m gonna clean out the gas tank as much as I can, fix the foot peg and kickstand enough to ride it, and then off to the dyno to troubleshoot the ignition. The handlebars are from KromeWorks (or something like that) and we...

Please help me find this part! Finders Fee!!

Hi All, I'm in a bind... What I have on the bike is a full set of Excel Components switches and hand controls. Excel no longer makes (I assume) the left hand master cylinder assembly. I have to assume this because I can't find a number to contact them, they are not responsive to emails, and they don...

For those of us not familiar with your bike, can you tell us a little about it?

Glad it was something simple, and free. Typical symptoms for that, would have been surprised if it was anything else.

Re: SB overheating

I’d bet that it’s fan or radiator related. Highway speeds are enough to keep air flowing over the radiator.

It’s new to him, has it been that way since he got it? Did someone wire the fan backwards? He should verify air flow over the radiator.

1998 Boss SBC w/ tired transmission

Hey Guys, The bike that brought me to this community so many years ago is back on the market. 1998 Boss Hoss SBC, 18k miles. 3 owners, the first of which was my father. Asking price is $9k, I sold it for less than that over 10 years ago. Neither of the last 2 owners put any miles on the bike really....

Damn, going down at high speed like that he is lucky to be intact and that most everything stayed on the inside.
You’re a tough bastard Marv, good luck on the recovery.

Re: Odyssey battery terminals

We’re you using it in tandem with your battery or it was standalone? My booster box will start my bike, but only if it is given time to charge the battery in the bike. Not sure if that is what you’re referencing or not.

Re: Securing a Boss Hoss in a trailer or truck

I’ve used the risers on mine without any problems. I can’t get to the bottom of the triples because of the trim.
You’re not holding up the weight of the bike, you’re just keeping it from tipping over. A wheel chock goes a long way too.

Re: Odyssey battery terminals

Was supposed to be 40 for 90min... was completely dead from sitting over a year. The timer never kicked off so it was 40 for 8 hours.

I’ve been looking at smaller and lighter batteries to replace it. Not sure any of them have enough ass for the small block though.

Re: Odyssey battery terminals

Blew my battery up this weekend. Charger never clicked off and cooked it.
Hard to see it bloated in the pic, but I could smell the acid once I opened the garage and there was a puddle under the bike on my brand new concrete floor.
