Just an FYI, you and Puff were correct at 50 lbs for the 3/4" axle. The 1" axle is 55 lbs per the factory.

Re: Transmission rear mount

Here is the answer your not wanting to hear. But it comes from Tim Dalbec (Dr. Nesco).

"Hi Gerry, the only way that I think it can be repaired would be by Healy coil the holes. Yes the transmission would have to be removed. Thanks TIMMY D."

Re: Lost compression in cylinder #7

Do a leak down of the cylinder. Which means to pressurize the cylinder with air when its at top dead center. They have kits to rent at the autopart stores providing your in the U.S. Listen for air at the carb, exhaust pipe, and dipstick or oil fill. Air at carb means intake valve issue, air at exhau...

Re: Lifter adjustment

The casting number of those heads ends in 083, and yes they have 1.94/1.50 inch dia valves. The chamber is identical to the 350 iron heads that has casting suffix 193. The 083 were used in Fcars and the 193s were used in light- and medium-trucks and fullsize passenger cars. The 193s use a swirl ramp...

Re: Lifter adjustment

Hydraulic lifters whether flat or roller only require an adjustment when assembling the motor, cam change, lifter change, rocker change, etc. Once that initial adjustment has been made, you no longer need to worry about checking. Beauty of hyd lifters compared to solids. :-)

I weighted around 300lbs and had the 400 springs put on, and it was a bit stiff unless i added a passenger. Your best bet would be to email Aldan and describe your combined weight and that your on a Big Block bike.

Also, only use the Right Stuff sealant when putting back together. Clean thoroughly and put back together. In addition, i'd replace the 2 orings that are used on the ...

Re: WANTED : speedo for 2007 model

I purchased a Speedhut GPS unit for my 2000 502 and it fit directly into the dash with no spacer. And worked like a charm. Loved getting rid of that cable and drive unit.
