Just an FYI, you and Puff were correct at 50 lbs for the 3/4" axle. The 1" axle is 55 lbs per the factory.

Here is the answer your not wanting to hear. But it comes from Tim Dalbec (Dr. Nesco).

Do a leak down of the cylinder. Which means to pressurize the cylinder with air when its at top dead center. The casting number of those heads ends in 083, and yes they have 1.94/1.50 inch dia valves. The chamber is identical to the 350 iron heads that has casting suffix 193. Hydraulic lifters whether flat or roller only require an adjustment when assembling the motor, cam change, lifter change, rocker change, etc. Once that initial adjustment has been made, you no longer need to worry about checking. Beauty of hyd lifters compared to solids.

I weighted around 300lbs and had the 400 springs put on, and it was a bit stiff unless i added a passenger. Your best bet would be to email Aldan and describe your combined weight and that your on a Big Block bike.

Make sure to remove the 2 front oil pan screws to release some pressure of the front cover. it'll help when sliding in the new cover. I purchased a Speedhut GPS unit for my 2000 502 and it fit directly into the dash with no spacer. And worked like a charm. Loved getting rid of that cable and drive unit.
