Re: Boss is down
Yeah I'm pretty much in the same boat as all of you. Mine is a 1997 so single speed and heating issues on the highway, installed larger rad, bigger brackets etc to get it to cool somewhat reasonably at high lest speeds. Have changed calipers, rebuilt carb due to knob functioning secondaries, larger ...

Boss is down
Hi all,
Waiting for new front and rear tire to be mounted. Hate waiting for when good weather, been to few nice non rainy days this year.
Anyone else waiting on stuff to be done to be able to ride?
Driving my car today... I need a backup bike for when the boss is down and out.

Anyone know if they still make that belt? Tried emailing the factory but their contact from the website is not working.

Hey Barry,
Not any better under premier Wynne here in ontario.
We were hit also with a carbon tax on fuel, $1.10 plus a litre now. Deficit spending and no end in sight... hopefully next election a proper conservative will win.

Re: wondering about mileage
I bought my 97 last may, put 3500 miles on it till september. Been tweaking some things this year , new fuse box, new front and rear fender, changed the clutch to a 1 speed auto, painted it black due to a problem last year with the gas leaking and ruining my tank. Still waiting on some parts for my ...

Re: One speed tranny plumbing
You guys seem to be right about the parking brake, after reading your posts checked past posts and many problems with them, either level ground or a shim or something other to hold the front brake in place will be good. Was hoping to ride over the long weekend, but a few problems have poped up that ...

Re: One speed tranny plumbing
I figured out the tranny plumbing last night. Took the bike out to see how she rides and my rear caliber starts leaking... Pull that apart now I need o rings.
Always something.
Will need a parking brake now that I don't have the clutch anymore, add that to the list.

One speed tranny plumbing
Hi all, Haven't been posting much recently because of work and trying to get my old clutch bike converted to a one speed auto. The problem is there are 4 lines for the one speed and only 2 on the newer 2 speed up with reverse. Trying to figure out what goes where. Anyone ever work on these old trans...

Re: New member from Ontario
Hi canadajoe, Thanks for the welcome, better late than never. Yeah the insurance in Ontario is insane, 5600 for mine, but commonwealth is insuring them now for 3100, still expensive for a motorcycle, but a different breed and I can't go back to a twin. Still Savin 2500. Bob and Switzer boss hoss tol...
