Re: Another V8 Rider lost the Battle today
Very sorry to hear of Deans passing. He canceled Sturgis with us in August because of medical issues. Didn't realise things were this bad. Rest in Peace.

There is a set of pliers that squeeze the fitting and it then pulls apart.

Re: Avon versus Metzeler 300 Rear Tire
I ran the Metzeler 300 on my 09 LS3 once after the Avon was worn out at about 4,500 miles, only to have the Metzeler worn out at 3,700 miles. I'm Back to the Avon.

Re: Wheel bearings
To replace the front wheel bearings remove the rotors and take the bolts out of the hub, it splits in half and you can tap them out with a punch and small hammer from the inside out

Re: Mustang seat recovering
3-4 years ago I had a tear in my seat, Mustang is up the street about a half hour from me. I went to the factory and they would not fix it for me, the repair had to go thru Boss Hoss. So Stamford got a piece of the action and the Factory got a piece of the action, it cost me $300.00 for a new cover....

Re: Check your throttle cable!!!
There is a nylon sleeve the cable goes through in the curve of the housing. You do need to lubricate at least once a year, spray lube not silicone, or the nylon gets cut and the throttle starts to stick and then the cable snaps.

Re: Wanted.
A Bicycle tire tube sliced at about 1/2" sections makes a great parking Brake. Put it around the handle bar grip and around the front brake lever and your done. Release it and store the Sliced tube on the handle bar grip

Re: Monte
Tim re-did my transmission last winter and the only part that was on back order was the main shaft, and case. At that time Monty still owned Boss Hoss and tim was going to be building transmissions for them. Everything else was readily available. Great guy to deal with and every transmission gets Dy...

Re: Rear brakes are dragging... help!
Norm; Had the same problem when I installed the big brakes. I put the pads on the belt sander to remove some of the material, then the caliper slipped over the rotor with ease. I don't think the caliper is centered very good on the rotor with the Boss Hoss mounting bracket. Also made a peice up to t...

Re: 2017 Boss Hoss 502 Big Block
I Called on the Big Block yesterday, it is not sold yet. I was kinda shocked at the price. I figured 60-65 thousand. The price came in at $76,100.00 I hope they can sell them for that but I think if they want to get back into the business, they are going to have to figure a way to get the price down...

You have to use the grease that comes with them because they are very heat sensitive.

Re: Zoomies
Why don't you just buy some small block header flanges and have some 90's bent and weld the hole thing yourself?
Then you can pick the right size pipe and not screw up the exhaust flow.

Re: Anyone else going to Sturgis?
Did anyone try the New Bike before it got sold? I Sent Glen Boglisch over for a ride report, and it was sold, and he could not ride it. He took a Trike for a ride and said it was better than it was before the New Owners Took Over. When you let off the throttle it doesn't coast like it did before. John

Carl; You can clamp the spring back together with a cable clamp for a temporary repair till the new springs come. Take a 1/2" bar about 18" long and put 32 1/4 turns back on the spring and you will be back in business. The other thing you can do is draw a line from one end of the spring to...

The metzeler Rear tire is so soft a compound that all you will get for mileage is 3,000 - 3,500 and it will be BALD and the sides will be all cupped. At least the Avon will last 5,000 - 6,000 in the 300

Re: 2000 rear rotor
Randy and Jack; With that big ugly Rotor and Caliper my bike will now stop on a Quarter, but not a Dime. It's the best up grade I have made on my 09 LS3 that now has over 55,000 miles on it. I have about 15,000 miles on the bike with the new brakes and the pads are over 3/4 still good.

Re: Boss hoss dealers
I would want a complete bike, Not assembled, Less engine and paint. You can sell a wiring harness, controls, the bolt on's ect. For the same money if not less than a ones z two z customer and still make a little money.
