Re: Metzler front tires
I run the 888 on the SB with the Kewl Metal as well as the BB with the stock Front end. tire does well on both with no noise and seems to be wearing evenly on both. The rear tire is another story. Brand new 1 month old tire started cracking around the edges. Took it to the Metzler rep during Bike we...

Being a "Distracted Driver Survivor" I feel sorry for the family and friends that are suffering because of the selfishness and stupidity of this young driver.

Re: 502 V LS
Like anything else in life, it is all about your personal preference. The 502's are a breed all of their own, they have a signature sound and a reverence for being just stupid. LS's are more modern and appeal to a different crowd. They are certainly advanced and can be modified with a Laptop more th...

Re: What's it worth?
Maybe I am an odd duck, but before I spend money on anything , I would want to know exactly what I am buying. What revision is the transmission? A B C or D? Knowing the manufacture date may be helpful in knowing what version tranny it is. Being that is was supposedly behind a BB means it has to be R...

I think what you have now is WAY better than the 606 in all aspects ... except maybe gas mileageV8Bikers wrote:When I was looking to build a bike from scratch, I called Rhodes performance (who builds the engines for Mountain) and was told they could build a 606 FOR 25k
Re: Questions
I agree, always glad to see a technical posting. Many times, a small tip can save allot of time and money. By far, I am not the first to do this, but I have recently grown to be very fond of the tire balancing beads. My local tire shop mounts MC tires for me, but have no way to balance the tires. T...

For those that do not want to click the above link and read his report ... The new Winters tranny has had a failure and died BUT the cause was determined. Long story short, the new tranny was pounded mercilessly going up and down the Alps. The temp rose to 180 degrees Celcius and cooked it. The CAUS...

Color me stupid. Went to the web site and cannot find where to buy the oil. Did I not look in the right places?
I need oil for a 2000 Softail, 2016 Road Glide and my 05 sb BH.
I want to support those who support us. That's why the wife and son got some Ridge Boots for Christmas

Re: Mountain Boss Hoss for repair quote?
The repair quote will shock you. These bikes are expensive to start with with but what you have will take a lot of fab work to recreate damaged parts OR adapt BH parts to fit. That takes time and time is big money. I was still bleeding through the bandages when the adjuster called me with stupid num...

Re: Avon versus Metzeler 300 Rear Tire
I ran the Metzler 300 series rear tire on my small Block Bike. Within 500 miles the sidewalls cracked. I took it to the Metzler tent at Daytona during Bike week and was told that the tires were not designed to handle the weight of "That Beast" and that they would do nothing for me. I am ba...

Saw an ad on either the forum or on a BH FB page ... somewhere of a guy that made skull and piston shifter handles. Was curious if anyone out there can remember who it was.
