Re: V8 chopper?

Boss Hoss took it in as a trade says Michael (Boss Hoss employee) on V8 Bikers Face Book last week. Bill Thompson said it was for sale in Daytona Bike Octoberfest at Boss Hoss Factory Big Red Truck display.

Re: 2019 Boss Hoss Rally in Sevierville

The Rally was excellent! In my 11 years of attending, the Factory had the most amount of NEW bikes and trikes available for purchase. It had the largest amount of Boss Hoss bikes and trikes in attendance at any BH National Rally Parade since I've been to since 2009. The biggest improvement IMHO was ...

Re: Ethanol E15 Gasoline ?

I recently found out about a new gas station near me that sells the recreational Non-Ethanol 90 octane gasoline which you describe. Unfortunately, our trikes and bikes require a minimum of 92 octane gasoline. So I don't use or buy it. As far as using what you call "corn gas" in our trikes ...

Spark plug wires

Has anyone heard of or tried Accel Extreme 9000 ceramic spark plug wire kits? The ceramic spark plug boots are able to withstand temperatures up to 2000 degrees. Any thoughts?

Re: Reserve tank possible leak

Barry, are you sure it is the tank and NOT the vent hose leaking? The BH Factory advertises that the reserve tank has a 3.5 US gallon capacity. This is true. BUT, if you put 3.5 US gallons into the reserve tank it will leak out the vent hose. I've been putting 3.2 US gallons into the reserve tank ev...

Re: Distributor cap/rotor

I will answer my own post. LOL! Yes, Accel part# 8132 is the correct Accel part# for a 2008 Boss Hoss ZZ4 350 with a HEI GM distributor for the correct distributor cap/rotor. Additionally, Accel Part #35362 is the correct number for the performance module which is located under the cap along with th...

Re: Reserve tank possible leak

Barry, by any chance does this trike have a tilt body? If so, I personally would take the tank out of the trike and have the leak repaired by a professional welder who can TIG weld aluminum. Just my two cents. If not, mmaupin's idea sounds good. I never heard of duct seal. This might be a good produ...

Re: Blowing Modules in distributor

Barry, that's not what happens when you shut the bike off at the key instead of the kill switch is it? Where while the alternator is still spinning with current and it back feeds to the module. Or is that what happens to the solenoid?

Distributor cap/rotor

Is the Accel Part # 8132 the right cap and rotor for my 2008 ZZ4 350 Boss Hoss trike? It will fit 1986-1992 small block Chevy engines with HEI distributor.

Re: Cold Weather Riding

My 2008 ZZ4 had a factory 180 degree stat in it. I changed to a 160 stat almost 2 years ago and am not sorry. I live in Michigan. I agree with Gerry, why not just call the factory and ask them about the LS3 engine having a thermostat or not.

Re: 2001 SBC Trike Minor Odds and Ends

Nothing significant, just coming up with something to post is all... New radiator leak. No $$$ to replace the radiator. Was repaired a little over a year ago because of damage from road debris. Time for it to start falling apart, I suppose (17 years old). Poured some ground black pepper in the cool...

Re: Anti freeze

Jack, I don't live in Florida, but I would keep running anti-freeze year around because it is an anti-corrosive protection for your engine block and cylinder heads. Plus it will keep your engine running just a tad bit cooler than just plain water. That's where the anti-boil protection comes into pl...
