But still, with closing the petcock a while before you shut off the motor you should smell less gas fumes in the garage.

And all together, beeing paranoid sometimes helps saving lifes...

Don't forget, you have a carb with a bowl filled with gas. When you park the bike some of that gas is spilled (lean angel). What's left will evaporate anyway because of the hot motor below. Who knows the spring rating of the aldan shocks for the BB?
I mostly ride with a passenger on the BB and would like to have stronger springs for the shocks.

I'm not on facebook too.
And both groups are private, so there is nothing to see for us 'outsiders'...

Good to see that you are still enjoying your 502!

I used Kuryakyn P-clamps.
They come in different diameters so I got one for the crash bar and one for the things to be mounted.
Put together with a screw, it'll hold on forever...

I had a similar problem with the starter. The reason was that the crimp connection of the positive connector at the battery was completely loose to the cable. It just fell off as we tested the screws on the battery.
Fixed that, and all was good...

As far as I know the Avon motorcycle tire came first in 1999.
But on the standard rim you can also but a 235 to 245 car tire, which many do because the car tire last longer.

A flat trailer would do it, so you might be able to push it away...
