Re: Stupid Questions.
I also don't like the name BOSS HOSS. A HOSS is a horse, and I am also reminded of the Bonanza TV show when I hear it. I don't even like the name BOSS as it aint the Boss of anything. It will never be changed and it is the name people think of when they think of a V8 bike but I wish it would have be...

Re: New Winters Transmission
Its good to hear that the Winters trans is meeting or beating all expectations on at least one bike. I would think Boss Hoss has sold more than ten or twenty bikes with Winters transmissions in them by now, why don't we hear from someone else too? Is there anyone on here besides Ricky that has a Win...

I LOVE THIS POST, what I see is a bunch of smart guys. I also love Trumps way of leveling the playing field. Here is a picture of my new hat. I have been wearing it everywhere I go. Most love it, at least the ones that talk to me.

There is only one more Boss Hoss bike in Las Vegas that I know of and no other V8 Choppers except me. THE V8 BIKE WORLD IS A SMALL ONE BUT A GOOD ONE.

It looks to me like it might be a nice future for the V8 CHOPPER company.
Re: 502 V LS
502 is like a democrat, sounds good, promises plenty, but the other one actually delivers without all the noise.

LONG TIME OWNER
DAVE AN V8 1.PNG Today I rode the V8 Chopper a BBQ. I've owned it now for 9 years. I've owned my Boss for 10 years. It amazes me to have any motorcycle for so many years and like it as much or even more than the day you got it. Our two V8 bikes are both stock 400 horsepower ZZ4 bikes, not so much i...

Re: Vapor lock
Jack, I think I'm the expert on vapor lock. Here in Las Vegas we have most days in July and August from 105 to 115 and some even higher. The pavement is much much hotter, you really can fry an egg on it at times. My bike used to vapor lock all the time when I first got it. I took the stock air tech ...

Re: Whimsical V8 Chopper
Stan has more than one painter. I like bikes way more than trikes but if the day ever comes when a trike is my only choice I could be pretty proud riding around on that one. He builds different models for different types of riders. All are really nice. If you are in the market for a new trike you ha...

So, I've been thinking... my Hub City gearbox is a 2:1... no tranny really, just a clutch and then a fixed gear ratio 90* drive. Hub City makes variable ratio boxes and they also make FWD/REV boxes... I know most of you guys are done with clutches... but if the price was right, and you could bang g...

Re: New Winters Transmission
Jack, I think you should just keep riding your faithful Nesco trans bike just like you have been. Don't sell the Nesco to get a trans that has great marketing and so far no facts to back it.hogv8 wrote:The new Boss Hoss looks great but the headlight is shining in the tree tops . LOL

Re: New Winters Transmission
I guess it's a quick way to increase the value of our bikes by $11,000 plus sell our Nesco 2 speed on ebay for $4000 . It 's sounding better . The bike will go up in value but only by a little. Maybe four thousand over a working Nesco. If you keep your bike the value will be that you will probably ...

I run the Metzler on the front and the Avon on the rear. I get about 4000 to 5000 on the Avon. Metzler even longer but I usually change both at once.

Re: ARNOTT AIR SHOCKS
I put ARNOTT AIR SHOCKS on my BH bike 9 years ago. The system has always worked fine but in the last couple of weeks it has been bleeding down in abut 3 hours. I called them today and they said it was common after a few years but told me how to fix it. They said it was 99% a valve in the distributi...

Re: Carburetor Vs EFI
There can be no argument about which system is the best for delivering the best mixture to the motor under any condition. Carbs are a compromise in delivering the mix but under street conditions they work fine and they are more reliable and easily repaired or replaced. I believe we would still have ...
